Fishtail braids seem to be popping up all over the shop lately. I wish my hair was a little thicker so that I could really do this look some justice, but it's worth a shot.

Check out this schweeet hair tutorial (below) for the 'fishtail braid' featuring Lauren Conrad. Finally, a tutorial that's easy to follow!
Grazia Australia recently featured an article on Miranda Kerr's style. I'm inspired by her understated, "I just threw this together" look. These days, my own personal style has felt rather uninspiring. To make matters more..erm..interesting, I've also told myself I can't buy any more clothes until I reach my goal weight - a good motivator (so I've had myself believe!). In the mean time, I can re-create the following looks from pieces already in my wardrobe (with the addition of some happy thrifting...)
Granted, I realise the "collar trend" will likely come and go as quickly as you can say "Bedroom Intruder Song", but I figure you can't lose when it's a fun, easy and affordable DIY.
Collars are slowly beginning to creep up in retailers down this way (Sportsgirl, Lovisa), but to be honest, none have been worthy of a second look. I've been inspired by YouTube vlogger Chriselle to make some of my own. Check out her vid below.
My first attempt cost me a total of $8. I bought the shirt at my local Salvos, and the beads were already mine. I'm not exactly sure what outfit this will go best with, but ta-da!
So come next pay day, I'll be getting my craft on! Check out these gold, spiked studs I've ordered. I'm sure my mother won't like them. Hoping to make a Miu Miu inspired collar as well. Excited!
